Calming down

Last week was too busy--I planned to do a lot of heavy gardening work--and I had nothing else scheduled. I am almost done with the gardening work, but the weekend left me exhausted.
Now gardening means digging, hauling, planting and restoring the bed to some what was its previous appearance. This is real work--not just clipping dead flowers with the pruners. I have rearranged the plants in several places and planted most of the tulips I purchased at the Bulb Bazaar. I also was doing the work with a sprained ankle. Not that it slowed me down in any way.
Because of the gardening work, I let the school work go. So now, I have to grade the papers and do mid term reports next week.
Things to look forward to--next week we are going to Little Rock to help our son out a little bit. We are taking the beauteous Alma with us. Sitting in the back of a station wagon is similar to sitting in a pen at the kennel--but the breaks are more interesting. There are some very nice rest areas in southern Illinois, which I know that Alma will love. She will stay at David's apartment--his first animal visitor.
